Get creative with Neat Plus™
By now, you’re probably familiar with all the classic ways to use your steam cleaner. What if we told you those are just the beginning? To celebrate the release of the Neat Plus™, we've compiled a few clever ideas to elevate your steam cleaning experience. Happy steaming!
Refresh your sporting equipment
Break a sweat doing something you love, not cleaning it. Superheated steam is a wildly efficient alternative to chemicals and scrubbing. Blast away dust from baseball bats, grass stains from golf clubs, invisible microbes from yoga mats; even unpleasant odors from gym equipment.
Remove old wallpaper
Has your eldest daughter finally outgrown unicorns? Was the previous owner of your home the #1 fan of your least favorite color? Fear not. With Neat Plus™, the dreaded day of wallpaper removal will be over in a flash. Here’s how steam can get the job done.
Make sure your furniture is away from the walls, and cover the floor with old towels to protect it from debris.
Apply the Floor Tool to the Extension Tube. Add tap water to the 54 oz water tank, press the on button, and you’ll be ready to go in just a few seconds.
Begin at an edge or corner of your wallpaper. Hold the attachment about 6 inches from the wallpaper and allow the steam to penetrate through. Move the tool slowly and evenly over a section for approximately 20 seconds.
Once the adhesive has softened, use a wallpaper scrape or putty knife to gently lift and peel the wallpaper from the wall. (If it doesn’t come off easily, redo step 3!)
Repeat the above steps until the wallpaper is completely removed. If there’s any adhesive clinging to the walls, go over it again with the Neat Plus™!
Et voilà. A brand new start.
Prevent plant disease in your garden
Sanitizing gardening tools without chemicals is a dream for anyone with a green thumb, especially if you're interested in growing veggies! Neat Plus™’s superheated steam kills 99.99% of bacteria on contact. That includes any residual pathogens that may be lurking in your pots, seed trays, or tools. By clearing out any bacteria, fungi spores, and insect eggs, you’re fighting cross-contamination and creating a healthy living environment for young seedlings that are especially vulnerable to diseases.
Bye bye, weeds
Since sanitizing your tools was done in a flash, why not remove some weeds while you’re at it? No herbicides, no pulling: just steam. You can use whichever Neat Plus™ attachment you prefer, but we recommend the Steam Lance for precision. The weeds will wither after 5-10 seconds of contact with the superheated steam and die in 24-48 hours.
How do you keep things Neat™?
