What is an open-box Neat™ Steam Cleaner?

An open-box Neat™ is a unit that came back to Dupray as a customer return, a demonstration unit or a product with damaged packaging. Before it is resold, our quality assurance team inspects it, fully tests it and verifies that it meets the same safety and performance standards as a new unit. It is then repackaged in a brand new box with its original accessories. Same cleaning power, same design, at a better price.

What is the difference between "Like new" and "Slightly used"?

Both grades are fully functional and tested. "Like new" units may show very small cosmetic imperfections. "Slightly used" units will have minor cosmetic imperfections, such as light marks on the housing. Neither grade affects steam performance, heat-up time or run time.

Does the open-box Neat™ include all 17 accessories?

Yes. Every open-box Neat™ ships with the full 17-piece accessory kit: floor tool, steam lance, triangle tool, window tool, two extension tubes, one brass brush, five nylon brushes, three microfiber pads, a microfiber cloth and a microfiber bonnet. Any missing or worn part is replaced with a brand new Dupray part before the unit is resold.

Is the open-box Neat™ covered by the same warranty as a new one?

Yes. The open-box Neat™ is backed by the same 2-year limited warranty and lifetime warranty on the boiler as a brand new Neat™. Buying directly from dupray.com ensures the warranty is registered to you, and the Neat™ owner's portal gives you the manual, training video and descaling instructions.

Does the open-box Neat™ have the updated boiler safety cap?

Yes. Every open-box Neat™ is inspected before resale and ships with the updated boiler safety cap introduced with the February 2026 voluntary recall. If you already own an older Neat™ (batch codes 0118-01 through 0425-05, model DUP020WNA), check your batch code and request a free cap at dupray.com/recall.

Is the open-box Neat™ the same model as the new Neat™?

Yes. It is the same Neat™ Steam Cleaner: steam at up to 275°F (135°C) and 50 psi, a 54 oz (1.6 L) boiler, about 8-9 minutes to heat up and up to 50 minutes of cleaning per fill. The only differences are the cosmetic grade and the price. Specifications, cleaning tips and maintenance are covered in the Neat™ Steam Cleaner FAQ.

Can I return an open-box Neat™?

Yes. Open-box products follow the same return policy as new Dupray products. If you have a question before or after your purchase, our customer support team is available by phone and email.

Where can I find other open-box Dupray products?
